This study was motivated by the need to develop students’ intellectual and spiritual abilities holistically in the context of religious education. To achieve this, the Multiple Intelligences (MI) approach was implemented as a student-centered learning strategy that acknowledges the diversity of students’ learning styles and abilities. The primary objective of this research is to explain the application of MI in the teaching of Akidah Akhlak and to identify both the supporting and inhibiting factors that affect its implementation. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method and was conducted at MTsN 02 Pasaman Barat, focusing on Grade VIII students. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with Akidah Akhlak teachers, the school principal, and students, supported by classroom observations and document analysis of lesson plans, curriculum, and student records. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the MI approach in Akidah Akhlak learning involves various activities designed to develop students’ multiple intelligences, including verbal-linguistic, logical-mathematical, visual-spatial, musical, and interpersonal skills. Supporting factors include school policies that encourage innovation, adequate learning facilities, and collaboration among teachers. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors consist of limited instructional time, technical challenges, and inconsistent implementation. Overall, the MI approach proves to be effective, engaging, and conducive to optimizing students’ potential.
