PENGARUH PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TEAM GAMES TOURNAMENT TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN INFORMATIKA DI MAN 2 BUKITTINGGI

This study was motivated by the dominance of conventional teaching methods that result in low student learning outcomes and limited student participation in classroom activities. Such conditions tend to make students passive and focused only on listening. One instructional approach that can enhance student engagement and learning outcomes is the cooperative learning model of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type. This study aimed to analyze the effect of implementing the TGT cooperative learning model on the Informatics learning outcomes of tenth-grade students at MAN 2 Bukittinggi. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The research sample consisted of class XE7 as the control group and class XE1 as the experimental group. Data were collected through achievement tests and analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests. The results indicated that the average learning outcomes of students in the experimental class were higher than those in the control class, with a statistically significant difference. Therefore, it can be concluded that the TGT cooperative learning model has a significant effect on students’ Informatics learning outcomes.
