Abstrak

The inability of students to solve problems is the background for the author to develop a teaching module based on problem solving. This condition has an impact on the weakness of students' critical thinking skills. So this problem can stimulate students' important thinking power, in problem solving (problemsolving) being a relevant alternative. The purpose of this study is to develop a problem-solving-based teaching module for learning aqidah akhlak grade VII. To develop students' critical thinking skills is very necessary so that they can understand and respond to various challenges regarding problem solving in the learning process. This type of research is a research and development model often called (R&D) referring to the 4D model developed by Thiagarajan and Sammel, which consists of four main stages, namely, the definition stage, the design stage, the development stage, and the dissemination stage. The trial was carried out on students of class VII.3 MTsN 1 Agam, which was determined based on the results of the distribution of practicality questionnaires. The findings of this study indicate that experts think the criteria are very valid, with an average value of 4.51. Educators' and students' responses to this module were considered highly valid and practical, with average scores of 4.7 and 4.64, respectively. The assessment criteria for the problem-solving-based learning module demonstrated excellent results. Therefore, this learning module is considered highly valid and ready for use in teaching faith and morals.
