This research is motivated by the results of an initial survey through interviews conducted on January 21, 2025, in Nagari Tanjung Betung Utara, East Pasaman Regency, which showed that the role of religious leaders in fostering adolescent morality has not had a significant impact. The main obstacles faced include limiting adolescent interest in religious activities and minimizing encouragement from parents, even though adolescence is a challenging phase that is vulnerable to negative influences. Religious leaders have attempted to foster adolescent morality through various activities such as lectures, religious studies, Quran memorization, and social activities, but adolescent participation is still low. Therefore, this study aims to describe the role of religious leaders in training adolescent morality amidst the challenges of the modern era marked by rapid technological developments, globalization, and shifts in social values. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results show that religious leaders play five main roles in fostering adolescent morality: as role models (uswah hasanah), providing advice and guidance, collaborating with religious leaders and parents, organizing religious activities, and acting as social mobilizers. This role has been proven to contribute significantly to shaping the morals of adolescents who are faithful, responsible, and behave according to religious norms. However, several factors still support and hinder the role of religious leaders in fostering adolescent morals. Supporting factors include community and government support, parental and family support, and a positive social environment..
