Abstrak

This research is motivated by the low utilization of GTK Room. The use of technology in managing and developing teacher competencies has become a crucial need in the digital era, one of which is through the GTK Room platform. This study aims to determine whether there is a significant effect between the use of the Teacher Training and Education (GTK) Room on the competence of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in elementary schools in Pauh District, Padang City. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The population in this study was 35 people for 21 elementary schools. The sampling technique used was total sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques used included validity, reliability, normality, linearity, descriptive analysis, and Pearson correlation. The results of this study indicate that the correlation coefficient (R)= 0.267 and is included in the category of a positive but weak relationship between the use of the GTK Room and the competence of Islamic Education teachers. While the coefficient of determination (R Square)= 0.071 means that only 7.1% of changes in teacher competence can be explained by the use of the GTK Room and the remaining 92.9% is influenced by other factors. The significance value (p-value)= 0.121, this value is greater than 0.05, so the relationship found is not statistically significant. Because the significance value (0.121)>0.05, the decision taken is H₀ accepted and Hₐ rejected. Therefore, technical support and ongoing training.
