Abstrak

This study is motivated by phenomena observed among students of the Guidance and Counseling program, feelings of boredom, neglecting during discussions, completing tasks close to deadlines, and being overly cautious due to fear of being inactive during lectures, which ultimately affects their grades badly. The objective of this study is to assess the Self-Regulated Learning abilities of students at Universitas Islam Negeri Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi.This research adopts a quantitative descriptive approach, presenting data in numerical form. The study population comprises 467 students from the 2022, 2023, and 2024 cohorts. A total of 117 students were selected through proportional random sampling to ensure balanced representation across cohorts. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire, and the results were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. The findings indicate that the students' self-regulated learning level is classified as very high, with an average score of 75,83% on a 100-point scale. The metacognitive aspect scored an average of 76.5% (high category), the motivational aspect averaged 4,21%, and the behavioral aspect averaged 4,19% (very low category).
