Abstrak

The problem raised in this study is how much influence the teacher's personal competence has on the moral formation of students. The competence in question is the exemplary of the teacher, both in instilling morals towards students, and also its implementation in shaping student morals. This study aims to analyze the effect of teachers' personal competence on students' moral formation at SDN 11 Simpang Utara, Pasaman Regency. Teachers' personal competence, which includes aspects of personality, moral responsibility, exemplary, and integrity, is believed to have an important role in shaping the character of students, especially in the context of basic education in rural areas. This study uses a quantitative method with a questionnaire instrument as a data collection tool. The validity test shows that all statement items on the teacher personal competence and student character variables are valid, with a correlation value that is above the minimum limit. The results of the normality test using Shapiro-Wilk show that the data is normally distributed, making parametric analysis possible. While the data analysis technique uses the help of the SPSS application program with descriptive statistical tests. Based on the results of the research.
