PENGARUH EKSPOR, IMPOR DAN TINGKAT PARTISIPASI ANGKATAN KERJA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI DI PROVINSI SUMATERA BARAT TAHUN 1994-2024

Abstrak

There have been events that have affected economic growth in recent years, namely the monetary crisis in 1998, followed by the financial crisis in 2008, and then the Covid-19 virus that hit Indonesia in 2020, particularly in the province of West Sumatra. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of (1) the export variable as the first factor affecting economic growth in West Sumatra Province in the period 1994-2024. (2) The second variable is imports on economic growth in West Sumatra Province in the period 1994-2024. (3) The third variable is the level of labor force participation on the economic growth of West Sumatra Province in 1994-2024. (4) And to analyze comprehensively the variables of exports, imports, and the level of labor force participation on the economic growth of West Sumatra Province in 1994-2024. The quantitative method was used in this associative research. Based on the processed data, exports and imports had similar results, namely no effect on the economic growth of West Sumatra, with a calculated t-value of 0.640 for exports and 0.308 for imports, each of which was smaller than the t-table value (1.695). Conversely, the labor force participation rate has a significant effect on West Sumatra's economic growth, with a calculated t-value of 2.757 greater than the table t-value (1.695) and a significance of 1.010. Furthermore, exports, imports, and the labor force participation rate simultaneously have an effect on West Sumatra's economic growth.
