Abstrak

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning, which is caused by; students' interest and motivation towards learning tend to be low, students are not active in participating in learning, do not want to ask the teacher during learning activities, do not answer questions given by the teacher, the diversity of student learning styles, and learning models that do not activate students. One solution to overcome these problems can use the visual auditory kinesthetic (VAK) learning model which can provide students with the opportunity to learn according to their learning styles, so that students can be more active in learning and can improve student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the visual auditory kinesthetic (VAK) learning model on student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SMK N 4 Payakumbuh. This method uses a quantitative approach with a Quasi Experimental research type with a posttest only control design, and sampling using purposive sampling. The sample in this study was class XI DKV 1 as the experimental class and XI DKV 2 as the control class. The data collection technique in this study used a learning outcome test. The data analysis technique used normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test using one sample t-test and independent sample t-test which were analyzed using SPSS software. Based on the hypothesis test in the Group Statistics table, the average value of the experimental class was 78.13 and the average value of the control class was 72.93. In the Independent Samples Test table, the sig. (2-tailed) value was 0.007 which means it is smaller than 0.05, meaning Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. While in the Wan test, the sample was tested with a test value of 74, showing that the sig. (2-tailed) value was 0.014 <0.05, meaning there was a significant difference between learning outcomes using the VAK model and the test value of 74. It was concluded that there was an influence of the visual auditory kinesthetic learning model on student learning outcomes in the PAI subject at SMKN 4 Payakumbuh. Furthermore, there was a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students in the experimental class and those in the control class, with the experimental class achieving higher average scores.
